    Lifeguard The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

    Description:

    Summary: As a Lifeguard, you are responsible for the safety of guests to utilize the proper use of pool facilities and equipment. Monitors activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and to provide a safe and healthy aquatic environment for hotel guests. Maintains cleanliness of pool deck area and provides excellent guest service. Handles any emergencies as appropriate.

    Essential Functions:

    + Maintains supervision of the pool, ensuring the safety of the pool area

    + Appropriately addresses any issues, concerns, or guest violations with guests

    + Recognizes and responds effectively to all emergencies

    + Enforces all facility rules and regulations

    + Maintains a clean and attractive pool environment

    + Reports any unsafe conditions to the pool manager or lead lifeguard

    + Performs on poolside stage with games and activities for guests

    + Monitors fitness center as needed

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    + One to three months of related experience or training preferred

    + Excellent guest service skills

    + Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

    + Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations

    + Ability to effectively communicate in both one on one and group settings

    Required Work Cards

    + CPR and First-Aid certification

    + Lifeguard certification

    Physical Requirements

    + Frequently walk, stand or stoop (over 75% of the time)

    + Ability to walk and/or run on slippery surfaces (over 75% of the time)

    + Regularly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (50% of the time)

    + Speech, hearing, literacy, and vision (critical)

    + Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels and extreme weather conditions (over 75% of the time)
