    Dr. Brian Wolpin's Lab is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic research team. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research focused on epidemiology and statistics, contributing to our understanding and development of innovative therapeutic strategies.

     

    Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care.     + Design and implement studies to evaluate determinants of pancreatic cancer risk and outcomes.

    + Collaborate with other laboratory members with expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, pathology, molecular biology, and functional genomics.

    + Conduct analyses using statistical software, such as SAS, R, and others.

    + Participate in group meetings and work collaboratively on larger projects with other group members.

    + Generate data for figures and tables to serve as the basis of published manuscripts

    + Write manuscripts describing research results.

    + Write grants and progress reports related to research funding.

    + PhD or MD required

    + Strong background in epidemiology and statistics

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

    + Experience managing and analyzing large datasets

    + Experience in oncology research would be an advantage. Strong commitment to cancer research is required.

    + High level of dedication to work

    + Ability to work independently and perform troubleshooting when needed.

    + Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and work with a wide variety of faculty and staff.

    + Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems

    + Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.

    + Ability to work within a team environment.

    + Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    + Multitasking essential.
