    **Schedule:** Full-Time

    **Shift** : Days - 7a-7p - every other weekend off

    **The community you’ll be caring for:** AdventHealth Waterman – 1000 Waterman Way. Tavares, FL 32778

    **The role you’ll contribute:** Plans, organizes, and coordinates the activities of volunteers, such as patient escort, social support, and other non-clinical support services. Identifies volunteer needs, recruits and trains volunteers, and matches volunteer skills to patient or departmental needs. Provides oversight, supervision, and recognition for the volunteers, and gives them feedback on their performance.

    The value you’ll bring to the team:

    • Recognize my own and others' attitudes, values, and expectations about mental illness and addiction. Engage in

    • reflective practice about one’s own beliefs and values, including stereotypes and biases (e.g. racism, ageism,

    • gender bias and homophobia), and the impact on the care of patients with mental illness and addiction

    • Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADL)

    • Supervises daily operations and provides technical supervision of Behavioral Health staff

    • Provides or assists with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions

    • Observes and records patient behaviors and activities

    • Reports changes in patient conditions to appropriate personnel and recommends treatment plan modifications

    • Establishes therapeutic relationships with assigned patients

    • Works directly with patients, family members, physicians, and community providers to ensure collaborative and

    • continuous care

    • May be required to manages daily group activities

    • Assists patients to perform routine activities of daily living

    • Recognizes potential escalation of behavior and has ability to use appropriate verbal and physical interventions

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    High School Grad or Equivalent Required

    Associate Preferred or Technical degree in a related field, or specific certification related to position preferred
