    Lead Dispatcher

     

    Transdev in Dallas, Texas is hiring a Lead Dispatcher. Our Lead Dispatcher ensures the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

    Transdev is proud to offer:

    * Competitive compensation package of minimum $21 – maximum $22 per hour

    Key Responsibilities

    + Oversee road service and trip performance measures, i.e. route start time, on-time performance, incidents

    + Respond to customer and driver questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.

    + Manage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls.

    + Supervise staff on weekends and evenings.

    + Manage department reports and other communication tools.

    + Overseeing and providing training to personnel performing dispatch duties.

    + Support employees and drivers with internal and external requests.

    + Assist Dispatch Manager with resolving problems and requests.

    + Prioritize calls based on importance and urgency.

    + Assist with developing and communicating standard operating procedures

    + Maintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructions.

    + Assist Dispatch Manager in accurately tracking and responding to complaints to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional wait times.

    + Other duties as required

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Minimum 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred.

    + Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office

    + Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

    + Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason

    + Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and drive results.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.

    + High level of problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address service concerns proactively.

    + Other duties as required

    Physical Requirements

    The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

    + Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces

    + Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level

    + Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.

    + Conduct oral and written presentations on behalf of the organization.

    + Perform other related duties as assigned.
