Description

SAIC is hiring a **DevSecOps Engineer** with expertise in GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Linux containers, and scripting to join our team in **Sterling Heights, Michigan** .

This position is contingent upon contract award.

**Responsibilities** :

**GitLab CI/CD Expertise** :

+ Manage and improve GitLab CI/CD pipeline for efficient and automated software delivery.Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD jobs and runners.

+ Collaborate with development, cybersecurity and testing teams to optimize CI/CDconfigurations.

+ Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful pipeline integrations.Implement security best practices within the DevSecOps pipeline.

+ Collaborate with the security team to ensure automated security testing and vulnerability scanning.

+ Collaborate with development team to ensure automated builds of debug, test andrelease executables.

+ Document processes, configurations, and best practices.Comfortably work with both Linux and Windows environments.

**Kubernetes and Container Orchestration** :

+ Understand Kubernetes to orchestrate container deployments, scaling, and management.

+ Expertise in creating, using and managing Open Container Initiative (OCI) compatible containers.

+ Experience working with Docker.

**Scripting and Automation** :

+ Develop custom scripts and automation tools to enhance the CI/CD pipeline.Create and maintain script libraries for automated tasks.

+ Collaborate with teams to integrate scripts into the CI/CD process.

**Continuous Improvement** :

+ Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

+ Continuously improve and optimize the DevSecOps pipeline for efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

**Required Education** :

+ Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

**Qualifications** :

+ 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps or a related role.

+ Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Linux containers (Docker or Podman).

+ Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for process automation.

+ Strong knowledge of writing and maintaining Yet Another Markup Language (YAML).

**Clearance** :

+ Candidate must be able to obtain a full Secret clearance; Minimum Interim Secret clearance required to start.

+ US Citizenship required.
