Overview

Job Title: Assembler

Job Location: Williamsport, PA

Undergeneralsupervision, performs tasks to process a varietyofvacuum devices and assemblies in the exhaust area. Performs tasks on components by following instructions listed on process tickets, tube jackets or other applicable documentation.

Responsibilities

+ Maintains work area and tools in a clean and orderly manner daily.

+ Competently and safely uses the hoists within the department.

+ Aware ofdepartment scrap and yield targets and works to meet them consistently.

+ Understands basic scheduling flow per demands, per supervisor.

+ Communicate,shareand volunteer information with supervisorandteammateswithin department.

+ May cross-train and fill in as Process Operator in Furnace Room.

+ Load and process tubes on exhaust stations by procedure applicable to the station and tube type

+ Load and process cathodes per procedure on industrial pre-glow station.

+ Grit/bead blast parts and assemblies as detailed on process ticket or applicable exhaust procedure.

+ Use andmaintainpinch-off tools to ensure quality vacuum seals.

+ Connect tubes to stations, set voltages for processing per procedure and written instructions.

+ Perform hydrogen backfill on thyratrons per procedure and written instructions.

+ Ability to multitask, runninga number ofexhaust stations at the same time while also runningother equipment in the department.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma orequivalent

+ 2-4years related experience

+ Understanding of basic electrical principlespreferred

+ Understanding of vacuum pumps and systems preferred.
