York College, founded in 1966, is a center of academic excellence in the heart of Jamaica, Queens. The IT Academic Technology Coordinator reports directly to the Program Coordinator/ Associate Director of SEEK Programs. In addition to the Overview duties, duties and responsibilities include:
+ Oversees the daily operation of the SEEK Computer Lab; provides technical assistance to students and faculty in the SEEK Computer Lab
+ Collaborate with enrollment teams to streamline digital touchpoints for prospective and new SEEK students, ensuring a smooth onboarding and registration process
+ Assists with the development of short- and long-range planning for the Program, including the selection of software and hardware, in consultation with IT
+ Maintain SEEK Computer Lab equipment, including projectors, software, licensing, and supply inventories
+ Operate and collaborate with the Navigate, Hobson, PHP, Canva, PowerBI, EAB campus personnel
+ Maintain records and prepare reports on support services provided to faculty, staff, and students
+ Collect and analyze data on student usage of SEEK’s digital resources to enhance service delivery and support academic and personal development initiatives
+ Prepares periodic reports on computer lab services and program reports for the Director & Academic Support Coordinator
+ Support retention efforts by working closely with the SEEK Academic Support and Counseling Coordinators to record and monitor student participation in workshops, events, and program activities
+ Work collaboratively with multiple offices and departments within the college to record and monitor student participation in workshops and events; Partner with York College’s technology department and ensure that SEEK IT aligns with procedures and policies
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Three years’ experience in a Technology or relatedfield
+ Experiencewithdeveloping and managing systems that track student enrollment trends and monitor academic performance, and identify retention risks.

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Provides support to students and faculty in the use of instructional systems, software, and programs.
- Researches and prepares program materials, FAQs, and user guides
- Provides telephone and/or email support for faculty and student users of instructional systems, software, and programs
- Develops training materials and delivers orientation/training sessions
- Maintains on-line information on web sites
- Acts as liaison to related areas such as CUNY's Computer and Information Services area, to evaluate and escalate reported problems, and disseminate information notices
- Assists faculty with use of instructional technology to support educational goals
- Performs other duties as assigned.

$60,394 - $65,946 - Salary commensurate with education and experience.
CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
