Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Software Developer in the Southern California area. This role requires a hybrid work type, with less than 60% of the time being on-site. As a Software Developer L3, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining web applications using various programming languages, designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices, as well as troubleshooting and debugging applications to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices to facilitate seamless data exchange.

• Develop and maintain web applications utilizing Node.js, Java, and Python.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry best practices.

• Utilize front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular to develop user interfaces.

• Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc. to manage cloud-based resources.

• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.

• Collaborate with team members during code reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives.

• Familiarize yourself with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL to manage data effectively.

• Ensure continuous integration and continuous deployment practices by managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Stay updated with the latest technologies and integrate them when appropriate.

Requirements • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

• Uncompromising focus on quality and precision in all aspects of work.

• Proficient in design and security principles relating to software development.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.

• Willingness to travel, as necessary, for project requirements and meetings with suppliers.

• Familiarity with both industry standard and emerging practices in software development.

• Proficient in JavaScript, SQL, Python, and Java programming languages.

• Experience with cloud technologies and their integration into existing infrastructure.

• Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web app development.

• Experience with REST API and relevant frameworks.

• Demonstrated proficiency in various software development tools and platforms.

• Understanding of core software development principles.

• Experience with R code is a plus.

• Adherence to best practices in all aspects of software development.
