    The successful candidate(s) will be a Lead Materials Engineer for nondestructive testing and evaluation technologies for Wind Turbine products

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Maintain material and special process specifications for nondestructive test methods and procedures.

    + Work with suppliers to interpret specifications/standards and optimize production methods/techniques.

    + Review supplier and service provider NDT procedures and techniques to ensure compliance with codes, standards and specifications.

    + Service and RCA projects support – NDT process development for field inspection and validation.

    + Interface with services teams and 3rd parties to develop field procedures and review results.

    + Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work.

    + Identify technology development opportunities for growth and investment.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in relevant Science or Engineering field (Materials, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical).

    + Minimum 5 years experience with non-destructive test methods and procedures covering a variety of metallic materials.

    + Ability and willingness to travel (international and domestic) as needed (up to 25%)

    Desired Characteristics

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Hands on experience with NDT methods for volumetric (UT) and surface (MPI, PT) inspection.

    + Proficiency in common NDT methods for metals.

    + Good understanding of other acoustic and electromagnetic test methods.

    + Familiarity with casting, forging, welding and joining material processes.

    + Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards for NDT.

    + Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.

    + Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team contributing to positive culture and overall team results.
