Job Responsibilities:

+ Manage plant operations and customer service for production, maintenance, quality and shipping and receiving.

+ Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

+ Develop and control profits, plans, and budget.

+ Manage the daily operational relationships with key customers.

+ Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.

+ Manage capital asset maintenance.

+ Establish and monitor overall plant performance for on-time delivery, production and quality standards.

+ Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.

+ Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.

+ Ensures that there is daily, weekly and monthly structure around shop floor schedules, demand/supply plan, etc.

+ Daily monitoring and tracking of production performance.

+ Lead implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to support performance objectives.

+ Provides direction, development and leadership to plant leadership team.

+ Conduct daily production meetings, plant walkthroughs and safety compliance audits; implement corrective action as required.

+ Ensure the operation meets environmental regulations and operating certificates; implement corrective actions as required.

+ Regularly conduct Town Halls, staff meetings, round tables and other effective means of communication to ensure team members are well-informed about critical aspects of the business.
