The Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a full timeacademic nocturnist. This position will provide overnight coverage on teaching and non-teaching services. Primary responsibilities include direct patient care on non-teaching services, resident supervision for teaching services, transplant medicine, and the consult/co-management service. The University of Maryland Medical Center has a closed ICU and a closed hospitalist staffed intermediate medical care unit. Procedure opportunities are available but not required. POCUS training is available. Shifts are 12hours, 6-on 8-off scheduling or flexible to accommodate 156 shifts per year including 26 weekends. Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor, however, rank, tenure status and salary will be dependent upon selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. ** Expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $280,000 (min) and $335,000 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
