*D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for an*_Amenity Manager_*. The right candidate will oversee the construction and development of multiple amenity projects at one time. The primary responsibilities will be to manage the design process, obtain city/town/county approvals, coordinate, supervise & schedule job site construction of entrance features, community fencing, swimming pools, clubhouses, pickle ball courts, tot lots, walking trails and other features that make the community appealing to the target market, all while maintaining company protocols and safety standards.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Manage and coordinate the design of amenities
* Ensure amenity designs and documents comply with DRH standards and notify management of concerns and potential solutions
* Participate in the due diligence process and ensure amenity work is completed on time
* Participate in the collaboration of information sharing and work distribution with Land Acquisition, Land Development, Construction and the Sales/Marketing teams
* Create and maintain amenity budgets and development schedules
* Oversee and communicate with primary engineer and other primary consultants
* Coordinate with agencies for permitting and closeout requirements for amenity transfer to HOA
* Establish contact with the project designer regularly. Note progress and deficiencies during the construction process
* Participate in the preparation and/or review of documents, plats, and contracts
* Plan and direct construction activities on the building site
* Schedule all involved subcontractors for each phase of development and construction
* Approves work being performed by subcontractors and handle any related issues
* Authorizes payment of subcontractors upon thorough inspection of work
* Maintains a safe work site by implementing safety requirements and good housekeeping regulations, enforcing safe work habits, observing OSHA requirements and any state-level agencies’ regulations
* Maintains compliance with all applicable building codes
* Verify all checklists are completed and inspections are scheduled and passed
* Recognize and enforce quality standards through daily inspection
* Schedule and manage subcontractors to make designated warranty repairs
* Execute company policies and enforces uniformity on construction methods to ensure compliance with quality standards
* Assist with various reports and budget tracking
* Establish and maintain a good working relationship with area municipalities, landscape architects and other consultants
* Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

*Education and/or Experience*
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Three to five years related experience
* Ability to manage and complete the “13 Milestones of Construction” specified in JDE
* Must have a vehicle capable of carrying supplies, valid driver’s license and be willing to drive among designated communities in daytime and nighttime
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to utilize DRH Construction applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form or via DRH Construction applications
* Proficiency with MS Office and email
* Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance and stoop, crouch or crawl; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision
* Regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places and risk of electrical shock

* Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
