**Shift** : Monday through Friday 8:45am to 5:15pm no weekends.
**Starting Pay** : 23.86 minimum (Offers are based on years of experience and equity for this role.)
**Shift Differentials** : Increases for Evenings, Nights, & Weekends based on State and Job Profile

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a pharmacist, is responsible for providing support to pharmacists including, but not limited to review of prescription orders, locating medication, preparation, counting, labeling, packing, delivery of medications to customers and reconciliation of claims. Performs all duties of a pharmacy technician.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Works with pharmacy leaders to ensure staffing levels are adequate to meet patient needs. Coordinate changes to schedules due to sick calls, leave of absence or other emergent changes in staff availability or work volume. Communicate changes to appropriate individuals in a timely and respectful manner. Advise supervisor of any potential policy violations related to attendance or schedules.
+ Identify breakdowns in workflow or backlogs of work that could lead to poor customer service. Alert the supervisor and/or pharmacist in charge
+ when immediate action is necessary and provide alternatives to immediately address the issue. (e.g. pull staff working on projects, contact central, etc.) and re-prioritize tasks to clear backlogs and respond to rushes.
+ Identify areas for process improvement and participate in the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of new processes. Lead others during implementation of changes in a positive manner and though modeling expected behaviors and actions.
+ Assist the supervisor with onboarding of new staff, ensuring mandatory education completion, developing and presenting training and providing input to performance evaluations.
+ Assist supervisor in implementing new programs or procedures to enhance pharmacy service, quality and efficiency. Serves as a trainer and mentor for pharmacy staff. Oversees new projects working independently to develop and grow services or implement new programs.
+ Provide excellent customer service to patients, other staff and ancillary departments and maintain high standards of confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Works with leadership to resolve any service issues.
+ Maintain high working knowledge of computer system, automated systems, billing procedures and other technician functions and serve as a resource for other staff.
+ Performs complex insurance billing, and can independently solve new billing issues without assistance from other pharmacy staff. Is a resource to others who are trying to solve complex billing issues.
+ Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
+ High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
EXPERIENCE
+ Three years' relevant pharmacy experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
+ Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
+ Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
+ Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
+ Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
+ Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
+ Rare climbing.
