    TLC-The Treatment and Learning Centers (Rockville, MD)


    The Katherine Thomas School Program in Rockville, MD (Montgomery County), services students with language and learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and sensory motor disabilities, moderate to high functioning autism, and/or other health impairments in grades K - 8. Our school has teacher openings for elementary and middle school teachers beginning with the 2025/2026 school year. Please indicate which grades you are interested in teaching on your application.     Annual salary range of $56,000 to $100.000, depending on experience and level of education

    Responsibilities of the teacher include:

    + Develop instruction in academic and independent living skills following the Maryland and other funding source requirements

    + Providing necessary accommodations to meet individual, group, and program needs

    + Write and implement IEPs/Behavioral Plans

    + Create a supportive learning environment

    + Supervise teacher assistant(s)

    + Work collaboratively with team members

    + Utilize technology devices to assist students in accessing grade level curriculum

    Requirements of the Special Education Teachers:

    + Bachelors Degree Required

    + MUST have a Maryland Special Education Teaching Certificate in Special Education or ability to earn this certificate shortly after position start date

    + Experience with students on the Autism spectrum preferred
