The position is a Per Diem Security Officer position at Chilton Medical Center. Shifts are varied. Candidate must be available for recall on short notice.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Welcomes all visitors and employees entering the facility. Conducts security checks on all visitors and notifies employees of their arrival.

2. Ensures all employees check in using their assigned company badge/security card. Assists employees who do not have or have lost their badge.

3. Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities.

4. Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds.

5. Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.

6. After business hours, may checks doors and windows, to ensure the property is secure.

7. Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.

8. Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.

9. Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.

10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required -

+ Ideal candidate requires High School diploma/GED, college preferred.

+ valid NJ Driver's license with good driving record

+ Candidate must be available for recall on short notice.

+ minimum of 1 full year of Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience preferred.

+ Candidate must be able to clear an extensive background check.

+ Strong customer service, communication skills, and proficient computer skills are imperative.

+ SORA, BLS, CPR, AED Certification and First Aid training highly preferred.

+ FEMA ICS 100, 200 must be completed within 60 days of hire.
