    Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology is **required** .

    + **Requires** graduation from an accredited Medical Technology program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

    + Laboratory training through an accredited laboratory school is preferred.

    + One to two years experience in a generalist role is preferred.

    + Will consider candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a related field (biological or chemical sciences) and who are eligible for certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP).

    About the Job:

    + Performs manual and automated routine blood tests.

    + Prepares specimens for microscope examination.

    + Operates state of the art laboratory equipment including centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators.

    + Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    + Performs a variety of tasks; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
