**Description:** IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main \(Sunnyvale/Palo Alto\) unit, Santa Cruz, VAFB or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position\.

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

This occupation requires the determination of procedures for cutting and layup of resin impregnated fibrous materials on first article production composite parts\.

WORK PERFORMED

Determine layout of materials and templates for composite laminate build\-up and

establish set\-up procedure working from preliminary type documents on first article

items and using best shop theory and practice\. Hold exacting tolerances in layout and

build\-up of composite parts; record production information for subsequent use by others\.

Set\-up and regulate autoclave and hot press temperature and pressure to properly cure

composite parts utilizing time/temperature, time/pressure, and thermocouple readout

and recording devices\. Is responsible for holding proper cure cycle and for proper

removal of parts from molds and bagging materials\.

Work from oral and written instructions\.

TYPICAL MATERIALS, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Equipment used: Autoclaves, hot presses, pressure and temperature measuring

instruments, hoists, vernier protractors, micrometers, scales, dial indicators, calipers\.

Basic Qualifications:

Complete knowledge of composite materials, properties, and other materials used in the

fabrication process; of shop practices, procedures and methods pertaining to composite

parts fabrication, processing and finishing

Desired Skills:

5\+ years recent related experience with composites manufacturing in an aerospace environment

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

The base range for this position in California is $22\.28 \- $37\.87\.
