    Glen at Hiland Meadow Campus has a great opportunity for an activities assistant looking for a rewarding working experience while working and caring for elders.

     

    **Brand New Memory Care Facility on the Glen at Hiland Meadow Campus has** a great opportunity for a Resident Assistant who is looking for a rewarding working experience working with elders and honing their nursing and leadership skills.

     

    This is a brand new facility providing comfortable, secure living in an environment designed for safety and independence. Programs serve individuals with early to mid-stage memory impairment — those with difficulties that require watchfulness and a supportive environment, but **who do not need nursing home care** . The center is thoughtfully designed and **services are tailored for individuals with memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias** .

    As a member of our caring, compassionate health care team the Activities Assistant will enjoy:

    Work with residents that need assistance with daily living, but not nursing home care

     

    Family atmosphere between staff, residents and resident family members alike

     

    Leader that is very approachable and strong promoter of team work and team engagement

     

    Continual development and education on new techniques and skills

     

    Location with an easy commute from Saratoga, Glens Falls, Wilton, Warrensburg and areas of Vermont!

     

    Shadow experiences for those interested in getting additional insight on this rewarding opportunity

     

    Must love working with an older population and be kind, compassionate and patient.An ideal Activities Aid needs to be able to encourage residents to participate in social activities.

    What will you do:

    -Activities department assists with planned activities for residents. Must be able to work independently as well as with a team.

     

    -Activities Aides help monitor supplies and keep a neat orderly activity space.

     

    -Will help in the planning of larger events as well as plan and implement their own activities.

     

    -Basic computer skills are required.

    Minimum Requirements:

    -High School diploma/ GED or supplemental experience in working with the elderly

     

    -Basic computer skills are required.

     

    Pay Range:$16.70 - $21.40

     

    Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
