As a Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist Specialist, you will serve as a technical consultant and subject matter expert within the lab. Primary duties include:

* Investigating and developing new or modified test procedures while reviewing and refining existing protocols.

* Overseeing quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing activities.

* Identifying staff training needs and assessing the competency of testing personnel.

* Writing and maintaining SOPs and developing training materials.

Salary Range: $60.71/hour - $78.17/hour

Qualifications

* Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.* Bachelor's degree.* Minimum of 4 years of licensed CLS experience.* Strong knowledge and experience in Urinalysis.* Proficiency in evaluating Gram stains.* Experience with procedure and report writing.* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.* Demonstrated experience in validation, testing, and troubleshooting.* Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
