Description
Serves as an Intern in a School of Medicine Department. Duties and responsibilities may vary based on the department and specific focus of the work.
Emory Orthopaedics is excited to offer a one-year Research Fellow position for highly motivated medical students interested in performing clinical research and gaining experience in orthopaedics, particularly spine surgery.
+ Responsibilities include performing statistical data analysis on variables extracted from patient charts, screening and admitting participants for clinical trials, and managing study documentation in accordance with IRB protocols.
+ Fellows will also author manuscripts with expectations of being published in well-known academic journals, participate in regular case conferences, gain experience in clinical care including outpatient clinic and in the operating room, as well as present their findings at national Orthopaedic conferences.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
