    Our client, a regional housing authority is seeking a Maintenance Technician Assistant to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician Assistant, you will be part of the maintenance team supporting the housing authority. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of methods, practices, tools and materials used in building maintenance and repair and groundskeeping, knowledge of and skill in plumbing, electricity, heating, carpentry, painting and mechanical equipment and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, residents, contractors and the general public, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    Job Title: Maintenance Aide

     

    Pay Range: $15.00/hour

     

    What’s the Job?

     

    + Performs routine building and grounds maintenance.

    + Performs minor maintenance and repair tasks to heating and boiler, electric and plumbing systems.

    + Performs floor-tile patching installation.

    + Clears snow and ice from buildings and grounds.

    + Assists in moving heavy objects such as refrigerators, stoves etc.

     

    What’s Needed?

     

    + Ability to visually inspect buildings and grounds.

    + Ability to read schematics, plans, equipment manuals, etc.

    + Ability to lift or handle a variety of appliances.

    + Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop and crouch in order to work in tight spaces.

    + Ability to work in wet, damp, hot, cold or dusty environments for extended periods of time.
