Our client, a leader in the scientific research industry, is seeking a LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II to join their team. As a LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II, you will be part of a dynamic department supporting innovative product development. The ideal candidate will have strong observational skills, excellent teamwork abilities, and a creative problem-solving mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II
**Location:** Maplewood, MN
**Pay Range:** 28-31/hr
What's the Job?
+ Prepare routine and novel samples for analysis via SEM or AFM analysis using ultramicrotomy, ion milling, and other conventional techniques.
+ Operate SEM or AFM and collect data for analysis.
+ Complete basic image processing and data analysis to support findings.
+ Organize generated data into communicable reports for product development engineers.
+ Provide coverage for day, afternoon, or midnight shifts as needed (approximately 3-5 days per month).
What's Needed?
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
+ Knowledge and experience with high-resolution SEM imaging of various materials.
+ Familiarity with SEM or AFM sample preparation techniques such as ultramicrotomy and ion milling.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
