    A SolidWorks CAD Drafter job located in Miamisburg, OH is currently available through Belcan at a manufacturing client. To be considered for this role you should have a degree in mechanical engineering/design with 2-3 years or more experience in detailing and mechanical design using Solid Works software is a must with some of this experience detailing new equipment, rebuild and/or component replacement.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Generate mechanical designs and detailed manufacturing drawings from design models and verbal direction of others

    * Use or implement drafting standards

    * Use ability to understand design layout to accurately create detail drawings for manufacturing and using SolidWorks PDM vault is a definite plus

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    * Associate"s degree in mechanical engineering design and drafting, technical certificate in CAD/Drafting or comparable training/experience. New graduates with SolidWorks experience welcome.

    * 2-3 years or more experience in mechanical design and creating detail manufacturing drawings.

    * Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly

    * Must understand and interpret drawings

    * Must demonstrate proficiency using Solid Works 3-D software

    * PDM Vault for drawings is a plus

    * Individual would have to be ok with having priorities change with short or no notice.
