    Overview

     

    Element has an opportunity for an **Instrumentation Test Engineer** whose primary responsibility is to work with Engineering and Operations in executing test stand development and conduct tests to procedures approved by the customer. This will include analyzing various matrices, installation, servicing & maintenance of sophisticated analytical instruments, and support with scheduling for High Pressure Testing.

     

    Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 DOE

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate all phases of processing pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies for Space

    + Assemble and test production hardware and their subassemblies by following blueprint and other written and/or verbal specifications

    + Perform work duties provided by immediate Lead, Supervisor or Manager

    + Clean, assemble and test various valves and filters following written procedures and other appropriate documentation

    + Interpret assembly setup requirements from written procedures and successfully complete assembly

    + Interpret test system schematics and support the test technicians with sub-assemblies

    + Interpret test setup requirements from written procedures and successfully test component

    + Perform testing using gases such as Nitrogen, Hydrogen, and helium

    + Perform testing at ambient temperatures as well as extreme cold and hot temperatures during thermal testing

    + Read and interpret test data and record neatly and accurately on appropriate data sheets

    + Recognize and report any out-of-family conditions or discrepancies

    + Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times

    + Maintain assembly and test setups in good working order

    Skills / Qualifications

    + LabView Programming experience of 1 year minimum and trouble shooting

    + Proficiency in reading P&ID's and supporting Engineering

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

    + Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

    + Strong GD&T skills, and experience creating and reviewing drawings

    + Strong understanding of fluid systems, tube manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis

    + Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting fluids components

    + Comfortable working in a rapidly changing, ambiguous environment balancing multiple projects with flexibility

    + Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
