Part -Time position: 24-29 hours a week

We are in search of a Part-Time Controller to join a non-profit based in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the financial strategy, planning, and operations of our organization, which operates within the finance industry. You will be tasked with managing financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and investment activities in line with our mission and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.

• Collaborate with leadership teams to make strategic financial decisions.

• Managing all aspects of accounting and finance functions, including accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and financial reporting.

• Develop, monitor, and report on the annual budget in collaboration with leadership and program staff.

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, budgets, and reports.

• Oversee operations of various programs and initiatives.

• Prepare and review necessary financial documents and forms.

• Manage all accounting and reporting related to various financial programs and initiatives.

• Monitor and complete all requirements to maintain organizational plans.

• Oversee the organization’s investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and policies.

• Monitor investment performance and provide regular updates to relevant committees.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.

• Oversee annual audits, tax filings, and other regulatory reporting.

• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Experience with Foundation Grants

• Knowledge of Tax Credit
