    Description

    We are in search of an Enterprise Data Engineer to join our team in Greenwich, CT. In this role, you will assist in establishing data reporting integrations between various SaaS tools and help construct an enterprise-wide data fabric on the Azure platform. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. This is 3 days onsite.

    Responsibilities:

    • Kickstart and lead the development of an enterprise-wide data fabric, which will serve as the definitive source for organizational decision-making and reporting.

    • Assist in the strategy and execution of Data Architecture, including identifying pertinent information sources, selecting application platforms/solutions, and contributing to the development of the solution.

    • Handle data from a variety of applications, ensuring its accessibility and usability for insights.

    • Utilize your expertise in data engineering to navigate sparse and dispersed data.

    • Use your understanding of the financial industry to work with Accounting and Finance datasets such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payments, etc.

    • Leverage your knowledge of potential data engineering solutions and relevant cloud technologies. Experience with Azure in the context of data engineering will be beneficial.

    • Employ your skills in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, Apache Spark, Cloud Technologies, Data Visualization, Algorithm Implementation, Analytics, Apache Hadoop, API Development, AWS Technologies to drive the effort.

    • Travel onsite for 1 week/month when necessary.

    Requirements • Proven experience and knowledge of Apache Kafka

    • Familiarity and working knowledge of Apache Pig

    • Proficiency in using Apache Spark for big data processing

    • Experience with Cloud Technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure

    • Ability to create clear and effective Data Visualizations

    • Expertise in Algorithm Implementation

    • Strong analytics skills and ability to work with large datasets

    • Experience with Apache Hadoop for storing and processing big data

    • Proficiency in API Development, both RESTful and SOAP

    • Knowledge and experience with AWS Technologies including EC2, S3, and Redshift Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
