Description

We are in search of a remote Revenue Cycle Analyst to join our team. In this role, your main function will be to manage revenue cycle processes which include tasks such as patient account management, billing, collections, and cash posting. You will also be involved in the financial closure of the business and product/supply analysis for billing.

Responsibilities:

• Execute revenue cycle management duties which include but are not limited to billing, collections, cash posting, and patient account management.

• Respond to billing inquiries from various stakeholders such as patients, insurance companies, and departments, and resolve general and complex issues related to account adjustments, re-billing insurance, and/or collecting from patients as needed.

• Manage Medical and Pharmacy billing within the company.

• Ensure that all services and products are correctly authorized and that the necessary documentation is on file before billing.

• Responsible for posting cash and verifying the correctness of payments received.

• Take necessary collection actions to resolve outstanding balances in a timely manner.

• Conduct research on claims denials and complete adjustments accurately and promptly.

• File insurance claims and appeals, demonstrating a good understanding and use of coding.

• Follow up on reimbursements and appeals in an efficient and timely manner.

• Negotiate payment plans with patients in line with company collection policies.

• Interact with third-party collection agencies.

• Utilize all functions of the company's software applications efficiently, including maintaining accurate and detailed charts and notes.

• Adhere to state and federal regulations and company policies regarding compliance, integrity, patient privacy, and ethical billing and collection practices.

Requirements

•Strong background in medical claims filing and insurance claims collections

•Experience in specialty pharmacy or home infusion services is required

• Knowledge of Cerner Technologies for improved patient care and outcomes.

• Ability to use Cisco Webex Meetings for online communication and collaboration.

• Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage due payments from customers.

• Experience in handling appeals, ensuring all concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.

• Proficiency in auditing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Familiarity with billing functions, including generating invoices and tracking payments.

• Experience in claim administration to manage and process insurance claims.

• Understanding of medical claims procedures, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

• Knowledge of medical insurance policies and procedures, aiding in claim resolution.
