Surgery Scheduling Specialist – Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates** **Clinic – Full-Time, Days** _Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_ **Work location:** 8160 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75231 **Work hours:** Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p **Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates Clinic Highlights:

+ Our services include providing both low risk and high-risk obstetrical care.

+ We provide a full range of surgical services, including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and endometrial ablation techniques.

Here’s What You Need

+ **High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)**

+ **2 Years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred)**

+ **EPIC experience (preferred)**

+ Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

+ Requires strong customer skills

+ Good communication skills

+ Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

+ A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do

+ Delivers care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process

+ Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician

+ Coordinates, registers and schedule appointments for patients according to availability

+ Conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care

+ Ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done

+ Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure

+ Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments

+ Communicates and answers patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure

+ Performs other duties as assigned
