We are seeking a dedicated, meticulous and creative individual for the role of Sample Management Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for a college graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in biotechnology. Requirements
1. Facilitate the archival of biological samples into our one-of-a-kind sample management solution that drives preclinical research across our community of over 1500 researchers.
2. Learn how to identify and catalog research samples by characteristics (species, organ type, tissue, etc.).
3. Learn and utilize a software-driven storage system and laboratory information system to manage specimen inventory and support laboratory services.
4. Provides support for the start-up, development, and maintenance of new operations processes within the department and cross-functionally with the lab.
5. Help establish processes that will support the growth of block management services.
Qualifications
- Recent College Graduate ideal
- Interest in biotechnology, histology, biology research, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, particularly data entry and use inventory management software (preferred but not mandatory)
