_Heavy Equipment Operator_

**Pay Range:** $25-$40 per hour

Position Overview:

**Ultimate LLC** is immediately hiring **Heavy Equipment Operators** for our Electrical Sitework team in the **Mt Airy** area. We are looking for motivated individuals with the right set of skills and experience to operate our equipment and help us maintain our high standards. All equipment operators are scheduled 40+ hours a week. Ultimate LLC provides weekly pay for all employees with no week in the hole and optional direct deposit.

Job Duties:

+ Operate equipment such as excavators, skid-steers, backhoes, trenchers, augers, and trench rollers to perform various tasks, including digging trenches, moving materials, and proper backfill.

+ Have a base knowledge of transit/laser level use for elevations and grades.

+ Assist the team with the installation of conduit, concrete forms, pole base forms, wire pulls, and other tasks to complete the electrical site work.

+ Properly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

+ Interpret blueprints and diagrams to determine the location of utility lines and layout of excavations.

+ Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

+ Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and materials.

+ Report any equipment malfunctions or damage to the supervisor.

+ Adhere to all company policies and regulations.

+ Complete required safety trainings as needed.

Trade Requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or utility setting

+ Valid driver's license and clean driving record

+ CDL class A preferred or ability to attain one

+ Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.

+ Excellent and precise equipment control.

+ Physically fit and able to perform manual labor.

+ Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

+ Team player with excellent communication skills.

+ Appropriate PPE (Hard hat, vest, steel toe boots).

+ Must have basic hand tools to perform trade.

+ Ability to perform regular standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting of up to 50 lbs without assistance.
