Vice President of Finance

Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 Annually
Role and Responsibilities
Executive in charge of financial affairs of company. Evaluate and guide strategic and operational decisions. Provide supervision and management of the Accounting and Finance Departments.
Essential Functions
• Review business strategy and evaluate its financial viability.
• Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts.
• Direct and perform ad-hoc business performance reporting in support of business leaders and managers.
• Evaluate and participate in the making and implementation of company business decisions.
• Analyze operations and make recommendations regarding effectiveness and efficiencies.
• Evaluate business opportunities.
• Evaluate and approve major expenditures.
• Supervise the Accounting and Finance Departments, assuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and relevant financial information.
• Assure financial transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Review the financial statements on a timely basis and address issues identified, including variances from budget, increases in accounts receivable, etc.
• Oversee preparation and evaluate company budget and strategic plans.
• Confer with and evaluate effectiveness of outside advisors including: attorneys, accountants, bankers, insurance providers and consultants.
• Analyze and advise on the effects of legal and regulatory issues, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
• Advise on capital structure of company.
• Maintain banking relations.
• Manage corporate tax affairs.
• Review and manage corporate insurance.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum ten (10) years of professional Accounting/Finance experience required.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with and understanding of GAAP accrual Accounting, including working with aspects of the business that require unique treatment.
• Financial fluency, including creating, preparing, and interpreting financial statements and reports.
• Experience in annual budget planning and preparation.
• Experience with financial analyses, including margin and variance analyses, cost center review, department profitability and ROI.
• Experience working with executives, as demonstrated by anticipating and changing priorities quickly.
• Highly-effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to communicate financial information to non-financial team members to assist them in meeting the financial goals of the company.
• Ability to deliver financial presentations to executives.
• Ability to leverage new technologies as necessary.
Work Environment
The Vice President of Finance is primarily in an office setting and may be exposed to outdoor conditions.
The working conditions are classified as sedentary work:
• Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
