Qualifications:

+ Must be a high school graduate or have a GED equivalent.

+ Completion of a medical assistant program meeting certification eligibility requirements is required.

+ Must hold one of the following certifications:

+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

+ Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT)

+ Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

+ National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

+ Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)

+ CPR certification is required.

+ Experience as a medical assistant or in a physician's office is required; sports medicine experience is preferred.

+ Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, and clinical quality initiatives is preferred.

+ Familiarity with computers is essential, with electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred.

+ Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
