Description
We are looking to hire a faculty member (psychiatrist) at the assistant professor level who specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, with a specialization in psychiatric issues related to problematic and/or excessive social media use. The Department of Psychiatry provides a full continuum of care, including a comprehensive psychiatric emergency program; adult, geriatric and child services (inpatient, outpatient and partial hospitalization programs); addiction services; a variety of community-based treatment programs; specialized programs for Spanish-speaking patients and deaf/hard-of-hearing patients, and more. Strong collaborative relationships support our multidisciplinary educational mission and provide state-of-the-art training facilities that include ready access to the URMC Center for Experiential Learning and its simulation training resources. The successful candidate will enjoy close working relationships with colleagues from other disciplines, including psychiatry, family therapy, nursing, social work, mental health counseling and chemical dependency.
