    Position: Technician

    Department: Building Maintenance

     

    Shift: 10PM-6:30AM/ Weekends & Holidays

     

    Status: Full-time/ 80 hours per pay period

    Facility: Miami Valley North

    A General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repair and preventative maintenance tasks in multiple trade areas including plumbing, basic electricity, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and basic mechanical repair. Customer Service/Breakdown/Setup of facility meeting rooms; Grounds repair and upkeep is also an expectation.

    Education

    **Minimum Level of Education Required:** High School completion / GED

    Experience

    **Minimum Level of Experience Required:** 5 - 7 years of job related experience

    **Prior job title or occupational experience:** Building Maintenance Experience

    **Other** **experience requirements:** general mechanic or general building repair

    Knowledge/Skills

    + Ability to read blueprints

    + Ability to use hand tools, power tools and other specialized instruments

    + Ability to read and interpret instructions, plans, directions, drawings, basic line drawings, simple schematics, work orders, purchase requisitions, and MSDSs.

    + Must be able to work independently or as part of a team, be friendly and courteous to patients, visitors, and staff, be neat in appearance and demonstrate good personal hygiene.

    + Good organizational and problem solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks are essential to job performance
