    Job Summary

    The Senior Director of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for leading and overseeing clinical operations within the service line, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. This role provides strategic and operational leadership, manages resources, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize clinical services, patient outcomes, and staff development.

    Essential Functions

    + Leads and directs clinical operations for the cardiovascular, establishing and implementing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and quality patient care.

    + Develops and executes strategic initiatives to support growth, resource optimization, and alignment with organizational goals.

    + Ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective cardiovascular care across the continuum of care.

    + Collaborates with other leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives that improve the quality and efficiency of care.

    + Provides leadership and direction to clinical management and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    + Ensures staff training, competency, and professional development are aligned with clinical standards and organizational objectives.

    + Ensures that cardiovascular services meet and exceed quality and safety standards.

    + Monitors and evaluates the performance of the services line, identifying areas for improvement.

    + Develops and implements quality improvement initiatives.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    + Complies with all policies and standards.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required

    + 8-10 years of experience in clinical management, with significant experience in a senior leadership role within a specialized service line (e.g., Emergency, Surgical) required

    + 4-6 years of experience in management in a large tertiary facility or Market required

    + Experience in leading successful performance Improvement efforts in an acute care setting required

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Strong knowledge of clinical operations, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement in healthcare settings.

    + Strategic and analytical skills to guide service line growth, resource management, and process optimization.

    + Leadership and team-building abilities to develop high-performing clinical teams and foster a collaborative environment.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, leadership, and external partners effectively.

    + Budget management and resource allocation skills to support efficient and effective service delivery.

    Licenses and Certifications

    + RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required

    + CENP - Certified in Executive Nursing Practice preferred
