Job Description

Set-up and operate blister forming packaging machines, shrink wrapping equipment, pouch machines, automated carton machines.  Set-up includes performing changeovers to tooling and preventative maintenance, as well as other related equipment such as conveyors or carton taping equipment. Setups must be able to troubleshoot issues related to forming, seal, and jamming on all packaging equipment.  Must be able to perform quality checks and instruct/lead line personnel to facilitate continuous line operations; perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling; accurate reporting and communication to supervisors.  Responsible for insuring all phases of production and packaging quality meet company standards. Perform general housekeeping duties, maintaining expected rates, and insuring safety awareness.

** THIS POSITION IS ON SECOND SHIFT. SCHEUDLE IS 2:15pm - 10:15pm. OVERTIME SCHEDULE IS 2:15pm - 12:15am. **

Main Responsibilities: 

+ Set-up and operate blister-forming packaging machines, shrink wrapping equipment, and pouch machines

+ Perform changeovers to tooling, conveyors, and carton taping equipment

+ Troubleshoot and repair: forming, sealing, jamming, quality, and minor mechanical issues.

+ Support and perform PM (preventive maintenance) on equipment and tooling to maintain expected rates and quality of finished packaged products

+ Perform quality checks on all aspects of the packaging process, including blister forming, package sealing, and finished master carton.

+ Lead and provide instruction to line associates regarding SOPs and best practices in order to facilitate continuous line operations safely and efficiently.

+ Report to and communicate with supervisors on a regular basis to provide updates regarding machine and maintenance status

+ Support Packaging team in insuring that all phases of production and packaging quality meet Company standards

+ General housekeeping duties, including shop area and tooling storage area.

+ Promote safety awareness and demonstrate safe behaviors

+ Any other duties as assigned
