Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a/an Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering to begin Fall 2025.

This is a 1-year non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor faculty position of Computer Engineering (9 month Appointment). Primary duties will include teaching courses such as Digital Electronic Circuit Design, Microprocessor Systems, Electronic Devices and Applications, Signals and Systems, Robotics and Automation, Software Engineering, Algorithms and Data Structures, and lower-level programming and general engineering courses. Successful candidates must also possess the ability to mentor and advise students working on Senior Design projects and undergraduate research activities. Duties also include participating in ABET accreditation activities such as assessment and evaluation of student outcomes and other service activities as needed by the School of Engineering. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
The School of Engineering, with thriving enrollment, has ABET-accredited programs in Systems, Computer, and Petroleum Engineering. A transdisciplinary Master of Science in Systems Engineering program will be launched in Fall 2026.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a earned PhD. Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely-related discipline. Applicants close to finishing a PhD. will be considered if their degree completion is prior to the start of the 2025-2026 academic year. We strongly encourage candidates who have a robust commitment to hands-on undergraduate engineering education.
