Job Summary:

TriStar Southern Hills is seeking a family medicine physician for a core faculty position within our community-based outpatient residency program in Nashville, TN.

Qualified Candidates:

+ Board certified by the ABMS in family medicine

+ Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain

+ Interest and ability to provide broad scope patient care

+ Procedurally oriented for outpatient clinic setting

+ Demonstrate interest in the education of residents

+ Commitment to leadership in resident education and program administration

+ Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to lifelong learning

+ Additional language skills, specifically Spanish and Arabic, are preferred, but not required

Core Faculty Responsibilities:

+ Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care

+ Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents in the program

+ Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents

+ Contribute to the development of program curriculum and evaluation tools

+ Provide appropriate levels of resident supervision to ensure patient safety

+ Support the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) in the implementation of policies and procedures consistent with institutional and program requirements

+ Assist with the incorporation and application of ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools

+ Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees

+ Prepare and deliver structured educational activities as requested by the APD or PD

+ Participate in scholarship, preferably in collaboration with residents

+ Actively participate in faculty development initiatives
