**S** eaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment
The Neurophysiology and Cognition Lab, at the Seaver Autism Center, led by Dr. Shlomit Beker, PhD, ( www.bekerlab.com ) invites applications for a postdoctoral position. The research is done on electrophysiological data (EEG and recordings from the periphery) collected through computerized and social tasks, from individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The main goals of our studies are to understand neural mechanisms underlying developmental disorders, and to develop reliable biomarkers through large-scale studies and clinical trials.
The Beker lab at the Seaver Autism Center studies children and adults with autism and rare genetic disorders, and how they interact with, and are receptive to their immediate environment. We apply advanced signal analysis approaches to address questions on cognition and social interaction in these clinical populations.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
Basic qualifications:
+ PhD, MD, MD/PhD in Neuroscience/Cognitive Science
+ Demonstrated expertise in electrophysiology, signal analysis and computational modeling.
+ Strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Ability to work in an international and interdisciplinary team
Preferred qualifications:
+ Applicants with expertise in EEG or body signals in humans, data science and computational neuroscience are strongly encouraged to apply.
+ extensive experience with Matlab and/or Python and R or other statistical software.

+ Term: 1-year initial appointment, up to a 5-year appointment, contingent upon performance and availability of funding.
+ Location: Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, 1428 Madison Ave, Manhattan, New York.
+ Conduct cutting-edge research with a strong translational impact for neurodevelopmental disorders
+ Integrate the neuroscience of developmental disorders with signal and data analysis, and be involved in both studies on mechanisms, and large-scale biomarkers studies and clinical trials.
+ Be an active participant in the vibrant and exciting research community of the Seaver Center and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
