Job Summary

The Division Order Analyst I is an entry-level analyst position responsible for performing clerical, data entry, and research duties for the Division Order Department. This role focuses on developing the fundamental knowledge required for the accurate and timely establishment and maintenance of record title ownership for the producing properties of Continental Resources. The Division Order Analyst I will progressively assume greater levels of responsibility through time and experience, with a strong emphasis on professional growth and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Serves as the primary point of contact between interest owners and the department.

+ Researches and responds promptly to phone calls, emails, and written inquiries from interest owners.

+ Manages owner relations tickets consistent with departmental guidelines.

+ Accurately and promptly processes incoming mail and returned division orders.

+ Initiates ownership transactions of novice complexity within SAP.

+ Assists senior-level division order analysts with research and data entry tasks.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

+ Demonstrates a foundational understanding of the responsibilities of a division order analyst.

+ Determines ownership according to laws of descent and distribution/intestate succession when appropriate.

+ Comprehends the various types of record title ownership, as well as the numerous instruments affecting ownership of real property.

+ Establishes record title ownership of producing properties through detailed analysis of title opinions, leases, assignments, deeds, probates, farmout agreements, operating agreements, and other legal documents.

+ Exhibits resilience by rebounding from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.

+ Communicates effectively by developing and delivering multi-mode communications that clearly address the unique needs of different audiences.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

+ An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business, Energy Management, or Law

+ At least one (1) year of related experience

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Physical Requirements

+ Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, and occasional stooping

+ Incidental lifting up to 25 pounds

+ Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
