Basic Function
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role involves tracking stock levels, conducting audits, coordinating shipments, and ensuring efficient inventory management to support business operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Optimize value delivery from suppliers. Prepare material reports to show status of current inventory and shortages.
+ Assist supplier follow up with OTD/PPM improvements.
+ Forecast supply vulnerabilities and implement plans to ensure continuity of supply.
+ Execute plans to assure continuous supply of quality goods and services
+ Execute plans to combat market changes and challenges
+ Walk the shop and pull random travelers to audit.
+ Check in E2 for discrepancies between travelers and entries in E2.
+ Communicate with the Engineering Manager or Production Manager of errors that need to be addressed and request they confirm with the employee the correct information.
+ Fix any transactional errors found or from turned in adjustment sheets.
+ Work with Power BI Production report to spot any discrepancies with stock job transfers.
+ Work with production to troubleshoot any findings with discrepancies.
+ Perform cycle counts.
+ Manage and monitor material changes for compliance to quality and technical standards.
+ Research and locate component stocks available worldwide and provide recommendation to Sourcing/Materials.
+ Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices, Brooks Values and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
+ Communicate as necessary with materials, manufacturing and other Brooks' locations regarding order prioritization, status and export documentation requirements relating to both inter-company & customer direct shipments.
+ Ensure accuracy of all data fields in E2/XA (HTS Code, Country of Origin, Price, Lead times, etc) for existing items and newly created item masters.
+ Facilitate timely US customs clearance of imports by providing necessary information to carriers/brokers
+ Work from instructions and exercise some judgment to perform required duties.
+ Initiate transactions for receipt and disbursement of inventory.
+ Work with computers (bar coding, etc.).
+ Pull parts to pick list requirements, customer orders, and to fill Supermarket/Kan Bans.
+ Assemble order paperwork for released to assembly floor.
+ Collate and sort M-order paperwork for machine shop.
+ Prepare low-level M-orders.
+ Reprint and distribute partially shipper orders to manufacturing.
+ M-order/Location code maintenance.
+ Support other company continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
+ Maintain regular attendance and the ability to get along in a team environment.
+ Ability to follow all safety procedures.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum 2 years’ experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics
+ Extensive computer skills, with excellent abilities specifically on Microsoft platforms (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required. Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, Power BI skills preferred.
+ ERP exposure preferred. AS400 exposure highly desired.

Compensation Information:
