We're Hiring: Senior Server Engineer

Are you ready to take ownership of critical IT infrastructure and help drive innovation across a growing organization?

We’re looking for a talented Senior Server Engineer to join our dynamic Information Technology team!

In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of server operations—from installation and configuration to optimization and retirement. You’ll help power the systems that support our day-to-day operations and strategic growth, working across both Windows and Linux environments and supporting cloud technologies, cybersecurity, high availability, and more.

What You’ll Do

+ Manage the provisioning, configuration, administration, and daily maintenance of all server systems (web, database, monitoring, application, file/print, etc.)

+ Operate in a mixed Windows and Linux environment with deep expertise in both.

+ Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure, including group policy deployment.

+ Install and upgrade server software, apply patches, and tune systems for performance and stability.

+ Lead and support disaster recovery and high-availability efforts.

+ Enforce security standards and perform regular audits to ensure compliance.

+ Conduct root cause analysis and manage the escalation process for server-related issues.

+ Mentor junior staff and promote teamwork and collaboration across the IT department.

+ Support and maintain Microsoft Exchange in a clustered environment.

+ Analyze infrastructure reports and recommend process or technology improvements.

+ Provide Tier 1 response and vendor escalation as needed.

What We’re Looking For

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

+ Minimum 8 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise server infrastructure.

+ Minimum 2 years of Linux server administration experience.

+ Minimum 3 years managing Microsoft Exchange in a clustered environment.

+ Solid experience with Dell hardware, VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

+ Proficient in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

+ Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification required.

+ Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

+ Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs. and travel when required.

Physical Requirements:

+ This position requires constant operation of a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, calculators.

+ Must have the ability to visually inspect and review hard copy and online documents.

+ Must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, discuss and exchange information.

+ Use written, verbal and audio communication and information sources.

+ Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position _50__ % of the time
