Position Summary:

This is a hybrid role in Irvington, NY

The Senior Financial Analyst (Temp) will work with the accounting and business teams and be primarily responsible for sales reporting and analysis, forecast and budget preparation, expense management and management of Risk & opportunity. This role will also create ad-hoc reporting and perform special projects and analysis. The position is a temp position (40 hours a week) for maternity cover.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Analyze channel sales weekly using KPIs and provide variance analysis on margin against budget and last year.

• Perform month end variance analysis against budget and last year and provide detailed explanation on margin and expenses on vendor level.

• Closely monitor freight expenses and prepare detailed analysis on variances against forecast and last year.

• Lead monthly meetings with business partners and discuss any risk or opportunity.

• Lead the forecasting and budgeting process, managing input from all departments and calculating all variable expenses for the forecast.

• Participate in Open to Buy/Sell and Store profitability meetings and provide meaningful analysis to support the meetings.

• Perform ROI analysis on new store projects and openings, providing recommendation on performance metrices.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Education:

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience

+ Ideally 4-6 years of relevant experience in finance or related areas

+ Financial Budgeting / Forecasting / Analysis experience preferred

+ Consumer Products / Retail experience a plus

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of excel (i.e. pivot tables, vlookup and sumif formulas)

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Organized, rigorous and detail-oriented

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and is resourceful, creative and time sensitive juggling multiple projects for challenging deadlines.

The hourly pay range for this role is $40.00- $45.00/hr.
