JOB SUMMARY

Leverages advanced geospatial technologies to analyze, manages and visualizes complex spatial data, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting a range of projects. This role demands proficiency in GIS software, spatial analysis and data management, as well as a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Additionally, this position will primarily focus on ArcFM Fiber Manager data input, requiring knowledge in telecom networking and fiber installation practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Utilizes ArcFM Fiber Manager to manage and maintain fiber network data, ensuring accurate representation of fiber installations and utility network infrastructure.

+ Conducts analyses and generates reports using ArcFM Fiber Manager to support decision-making processes related to fiber network planning and optimization.

+ Collaborates with engineers and field technicians to integrate fiber installation data into ArcFM Fiber Manager, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate network representation.

+ Conducts sophisticated spatial analyses, including geoprocessing, network analysis and spatial modeling, to derive actionable insights from geospatial data.

+ Designs, develops and maintains geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy and efficiency. Creates and manages data schemas, relationships and metadata.

+ Develops custom GIS applications and tools using Python to automate workflows, enhances GIS functionality and optimize data processing.

+ Provides technical support to end-users, resolve GIS-related issues and offers training and guidance to ensure effective utilization of GIS tools and resources.

+ Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. ITC does not sponsor employment visas, such as H-1B or TN visas.

REQUIREMENTS

+ Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, GIS, or a related field or five or more years of related power utility GIS experience (in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree).

+ **INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:** Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in related area for an Intermediate level.

+ **SENIOR LEVEL:** Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in related area for Senior level Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for geospatial application development and automation.

+ Knowledge of telecom or utility networking practices

+ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python

+ Strong understanding of geodatabase design, spatial data and coordinate systems.

+ Ability to collect and enter data quickly, correctly, and efficiently.

+ Knowledge in interpreting surveys, maps, fabrication drawings and equipment details.

+ Demonstrates understanding of spatial data, algorithms, data integration and data conversion.

+ Preferred knowledge of the Bulk Electric System and its components.

+ Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments to meet established deadlines.

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.

+ Strong interpersonal, communication and customer services skills.
