Job Summary

The Subcontracts Administrator plays a crucial role in managing all procurement and administrative activities related to subcontracting. The administrator will oversee the full range of procurement and subcontract management, from pre-award activities to closeout. Under general supervision, this role will require problem-solving skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to navigate both field and best practices in subcontract administration.

Roles and Responsibilities

+ Effectively manage the subcontracts lifecycle as associated with procurement activity.

+ Issue requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and qualify suppliers.

+ Maintain accurate subcontract files in compliance with established procedures.

+ Utilize problem-solving skills and industry knowledge to steer best practices for the group.

+ Display expertise within the subcontracting focus and seek continuous improvement within both processes and individual skills.

Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

+ At least 2+ years of experience in subcontract administration or related procurement activities

+ Strong understanding of procurement processes, proposal evaluation, and subcontract management

+ Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ Previous experience working with government contracts and their compliance requirements

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

+ Familiarity with subcontractor claims resolution

+ Experience using procurement software or contract management systems
