    Responsibilities

    St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC) Speech Pathology Department is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in a PRN role to join our speech therapy team!. The Speech Therapist (SLP) duties include, but are not limited to:

     

    + responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician

    + assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department

    + work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults

    + 7:30-4pm; one Saturday per month, holiday rotation, and weekdays as needed/available

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

     

    + licensed by the state in Speech-Language Pathology

    + graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelor's in speech therapy, required

    + MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology, preferred

    + at least one year of experience in a hospital setting, preferred

    + current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current
