    Job Description

    The Social Work Program in the Department of Clinical Health Sciences is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor with experience teaching research courses and knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research design. The BSW and MSW Programs are accredited through the Counsel on Social Work Education.

     

    We are located in sunny Kingsville, Texas – the home of the legendary King Ranch and the Naval Air Station Kingsville which serves as a training center for Navy and Marine Corps pilots. Our South Texas location is near the Gulf Coast and Corpus Christi – a popular vacation destination – known for its beaches, birding, and fishing.     Salary: Commensurate with qualifications.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Applicants must have a master’s degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program and a doctoral degree, preferably in social work.

    + In addition, applicants must have at least two years of post-master’s social work degree practice experience in social work.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Applicants should have experience teaching research courses and knowledge/experience of quantitative research that can include dissertation work. It is preferred that applicants have a social work license or be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas.
