The **OTC Payment Specialist** is responsible for owning the Consumer Power sales order process from beginning to the end. The OTC Payment Specialist will work with internal and third-party resources in order to obtain payment approval for orders. This role will be responsible for processing daily reports and running audits to ensure the process is running correctly, by implementing and performing audits as needed. This individual will also work cross functionally with internal and external resources to perform both audits and process improvements.
Essential Duties:
+ Collaborate with and gather information from other departments including Sales, to obtain accurate information regarding payment
+ Responsible for the entire 3rd party payment process including asking for approvals and working with the vendor to obtain those approvals.
+ Act as a point of contact and respond for internal and external resources.
+ Request approval for special pricing discounts, pricing errors, credit cards, etc.
+ Create and send out all payment reports
+ Work cross functionally on process and communication improvement between OTC, Finance, and 3rd party payment vendors.
+ Serve as back up for EDI Specialists.
+ Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 2 years’ experience in order management, customer support or inside sales
+ Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience with 3rd party payment processing
+ Additional analytical and reporting experience preferred
+ Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office products
+ Ability to manage a high volume of emails and transactions with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
+ Effective communication, listening, administrative, time management and organizational skills
+ Ability to quickly evaluate a problem and provide effective solutions with a mutually beneficial outcome
+ Strong business acumen
+ Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment, while also having the ability to work independently and deliver results;
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Assertive, self-directed and motivated, as well as possessing a positive attitude; Ability to work overtime during peak seasons
**Physical Demands** : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
