PURPOSE OF POSITON

The AP Specialist is responsible for timely payment of all AP aside from Fuel products.

Key Responsibilities

The list below contains tasks that are typically associated with the job. It is not all-inclusive and may vary.

+ Process AP invoices, which includes GL, coding, accruing for sales tax (if necessary), checking approvals, entry or import of invoices, posting and filing.

+ Process AP check runs, which includes invoice selection, running control totals, and preparing for signature(s).

+ Prepare file(s) for vendors paid via ACH or Payment Service.

+ Identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues.

+ Mailing checks

+ Respond to vendor inquiries regarding past due invoices.

+ Act as a back-up to the fuel AP position.

+ Adhere to company internal controls.

+ Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and managing, with some public accounting experience preferred.

+ Strong Microsoft skills including Excel is essential

+ Exceptional interpersonal skills, including oral and written communications.

+ Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Estimated annual salary: $38,000-$48,000 annually
