Our Ports & Maritime team is seeking a Senior Project/Design Manager based in the Philadelphia area to deliver complex maritime infrastructure development and coastal resilience projects from planning through construction. The Senior PM/DM will contribute to our national and global portfolio of projects and design resources.

As a Senior Project/Design Manager, you’ll have responsibility to plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work product, consistency across projects, and staff safety. You will also coordinate with subcontractors and internal support staff and subject matter experts. In addition to managing the project financials, delivery, and client relationship, you will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, and scientists to deliver complex projects across the Philadelphia region and beyond. You will assist in local marketing and business development, tracking of future project opportunities, preparation of proposals and participate in interviews and presentations. You will mentor and support the development of junior and mid-level staff. Working together, we’ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future - big and small, global and local.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or related Engineering

• At least 20 years of progressive experience in a consulting engineering firm as a Project Manager/Design Manager for large scale infrastructure projects involving multi-disciplinary teams, on and near the waterfront.

• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and subject matter experts to deliver projects demonstrating experience with leading teams greater than 15 staff

• Ability to manage the successful delivery contract documents, design basis, technical specifications, and other client deliverables

• Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external

• Strong proposal and technical writing skills

• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Pennsylvania and or New Jersey (or ability to apply for reciprocity) certification

• Demonstrated experience working and delivering successful ports & maritime or coastal resilience projects

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Master’s degree in Engineering

• Experience with cost estimating and services during construction.

• Experience with Design for Design-Build

• OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training
